John, You have a wonderful collection
of Seikos :)! I admire your focus with the BellMatics.
Seiko made many different styles of quality mechanical
Bells and your collection captures them well! Thanks,
and enjoy :o)!

I bought a nice-looking Bell-Matic
from an auction site and am pretty pleased with
it, but want some minor things fixed. Can someone
recommend a good repair establishment for this old
watch? Sent it to Coserv to look at but they say
replacement parts (crystal, waterproof seals) are
no longer available. Linked to a site called vintageseikowatches
from here, looks like Ekim knows what he is doing,
can you recommend him? Thanks

Hi received my bell matic 4006
6031 by Mail bought on the internet. Excited as
I was I rotated the crown clockwise and back a bit
to fast and than my disaster! the crown fell of
my watch. You can push it back and screwing it tied
but after a view winds it falls of again. A local
watch seller says that this is not normal but not
unuseual and says He can fix it with some glue.
What is this a joke? I dont want to wear a bellmatic
with a crown taped on a pin with glue. Do you?.
so what are the options. can you give me some usefull
advise? Thanks bye. Jaap

i have a 4006-6010 042220 17
Jewels and have just purchased another, it was my
fathers watch which he gave me 20 yrs ago. i have
previously owned 2 other bell-matics since but i
have hankered over my fathers but sadly the bracelet
doesnt fit any more as i have no spare links. i
enjoyed the web site and thought it was fantastic
to look at all the various types.

John has singlehandedly wrenched
me away from my beloved Seiko chronos and has me
chasing down Bellmatic watches, parts and information.
Having had no real interest in these great timepieces
over the last thirty-odd years, I am a new convert
to 'Bellmania'. My thanks, John, for the great correspondence
and especially for your dedication in creating this
web site.

I really enjoyed seeing your
watches. It's inspiring to have a fellow "WIS" dedicated
to their collection and put them out there for the
world to see. My concentration has been on Seiko
divers, but your collection has me thinking about
picking up a Bell-Matic or two. Keep up the great
work and keep it coming.

Impressed to find such great
site dedicated to a model. Seiko Corp should be
proud of this work and of their bellmatics as well.
I understand now how superb gift was the 74' bellmatic
my dad gave me. Greets...
