Hello there

Got my third Bell, thought I'd show it and also ask a question or two.

When I bought my first Bell I posted it also somewhere on another forum (not wach related). to cut a long story short, one of the users there asked me if I wanted his old broken Bellmatic for spare parts. Of course I did, and I asked hom if he wanted some money for it - but he refused as he was absolutely certain that it was broken. So I got it here, and this is the situation:

The crystal is quite scratched, and the wristband has one link which is damaged (seems as the pins are bent).
The watch keeps perfet time, the bell rings loud and clear but there is a problem with the crown wheel. When turning it counter clockwise (to set the time or to move the be alarm ring the crown wheel comes off.

First question, crown: Is this an easy fix, i.e. a drop of locktite or is there something seriously wrong?

2. question: Does anyone have an idea where I can get a replacement link for that wristband (i believe it is the original one) , see picture.
3.Question: Is there any way to polish the crystal?

And finally: I am pretty much it is an original watch and not a Franken, what do you think about it? Good find or what?

Cheers, TG

Congratulations, this looks like an excellent all original 4006-6031 with the famous 'coffin-link' bracelet;
it seems to be an easy fix as well : minor damage to crown, bracelet and crystal, IMO you don't have to replace anything.
A good watchmaker can easily fix the crown and bracelet and polish the crystal.

I think you owe your forum friend a beer !
