Been looking for a black 4005 for a while and found this listed as a 4005-7000, so what is it? I think i know but am not an authority

I feel pretty confident saying that is not a 4005. 4005's are date only, without a daywheel.
That looks like a Franken, maybe even a re-dial. The case style looks like a -603x but it might be a -700x.
Photos sometimes don't replace a 1000 words. Wink

It is a nice addition for JohnN's picture collection of Franken's and redials !

The 4005 caseback is not original.
It looks like a 603x case, with a refinished dial.
Non original hands (not sure here, in the picture they look gold tone).
The alarm button doen't look too good.

on first sight this watch looks nice Confused

'coz the 603x cushion case style is lovely

but if the dial is refinished, that may not look so nice in close-up

IMHO the alarm ring is also not original for the 603x style.
